You can review abandoned checkouts under Orders → Abandoned checkouts, where you’ll also see whether the recovery email was sent and if the order was recovered.

You can also enable or edit the abandoned checkout email automation from Marketing → Automations → Abandoned checkout, then customise the actual message and timing.The follow-up links directly back into the shopper’s checkout so they don’t have to start over. If they buy after clicking, Shopify marks that checkout as recovered.
Want to sweeten the deal? You can wire in a discount specifically for recovery. Shopify supports adding a discount code to the abandoned checkout notification template, so the shopper gets both urgency and an incentive. That’s a direct profit lever for high-intent carts.
